Are they still doin it now in 2009 and can anyone get them to sing ‘My Chinese Girl’ even though Mario sang it origionally johnny could still do it. Please! Please! thats my Five Discs Favourate.
When Mario and Andy left in 1960, after “I Remember”, the group became all white (again). Johnny was probably the best lead they ever had. He replaced Lenny Hutter, recorded ‘Adios’, ‘My Baby Loves Me’ in 61 and this fantastic song in 62. I put it right up there with the intro of ‘Blue Moon’. By the way, Murray the K picked it as “Boss Record of the Week” a high honor back then. It a shame they didn’t have the good management that they deserved.
just can’t stop myself watching this upload, terrific stuff, class act, the way this group and other doo woo groups present themselves on stage, they look imaculate the dress code is awesome..
