This cover – and the others on the album – do not match the earlier covers like “Pale Blue Eyes” “Hey Joe” or “My Generation” – and although Patti rocks NO ONE could match Grace Slick’s version. Balls 2 try though.
Gosh, for those not actually there, the video just can’t catch the intensity of this tune that night…but thanks for feeding my head again with the recording.
reminds me of when i just saw them at the fillmore in sanfrancisco. very good! but i still like when they do their own music best.
smith has done a lot of good music (her own)
over the last 30+ years.

I love the way she loves to do Jefferson Airplane, Doors, Stones songs. The best music there will ever be..
